    The news is that all of the puppies have now been delivered, and all of the puppies have a good birth weight. The weights range from .795 up to 1.020 lbs. - having a tight range of weights is very desirable so that is a good start! The larger litters (eight pups or more) have two or more heavier pups over 1 lb., and the rest are in the .700 - .800 lb range, and a smaller litter (five and fewer pups) will have heavier puppies, and its sometimes difficult to deliver large puppi

    Well, I cannot think of anything too witty right now...so you will be subjected to my lame haiku for entertainment. Pleasant eventide A faithful, tired dog pants whilst watching the stars Don't be too harsh, I am really tired...I think I nailed it tonight though. We are at the finish line, the due date is tomorrow, day 63! Harriet has been very restless the last couple of nights and she has kept me awake until about 4:30 am both Sunday and Monday. Tonight looks suspicious

    We are down to the last 7 days. It seems like it took forever to get here, and then it seems too soon as well! I can feel the little babies in her belly, they do not get really active until the last few days before whelping, and by then Harriet will really be ready to get them out! Harriet is doing very well. She is eating like a small horse, she is constantly on the prowl for a snack. But I will tell you that her eating has only begun, she will be allowed to eat as much as s
